About

We empower local communities with the knowledge and skills necessary to solve social problems in South Africa. Our goal is to achieve sustainable social impacts by engaging in various training and projects to raise awareness around robotics for social good.

We are a Robotics Innovation Hub that focuses on educating the youth on career prospects within the drone industry. We also create entrepreneurial opportunities for small businesses, promote the use of drones for social impact projects, and provide drone services in disaster management.

Conferences & events

Services

We provide STEM training to expose young people to the use of technology for social good. And we implement projects together with government stakeholders and local organizations to support food security, infrastructure inspection, and disaster management. We focus on following main activities:

Local Capacity Building

We regularly partner with local organizations to transfer skills and exchange innovative ideas to ensure that our local organizations remain sustainable through the application of drones and robotics.

Knowledge Exchange

We host conferences, webinars, and workshops with critical stakeholders to strengthen the South African drone ecosystem.

Ecosystem Building & Facilitation

We create various use cases and implement research projects with leading experts per sector in humanitarian aid, disaster management response, agriculture, and STEM field.

Sector Applications & Projects

We promote and facilitate social dialogues with relevant stakeholders such as NGOs, government, private sector actors, and universities. We also advocate for the introduction of drones in the curriculum to increase awareness and aviation safety.

Advocacy & Policy Support

In partnership with different stakeholders, we undertake initiatives to showcase the important role of drone in development. We advocate for the creation of enabling policies and ecosystems for drones for social good initiatives with government officials.

Youth/STEM Programs

Through workshops, training, and webinars, we design and customize drone and robotics programs to strengthen the understanding of drone technology and robotics among young people in our communities.

Entrepreneurship Programs

We create entrepreneurial opportunities for small businesses and start-ups by hosting workshops and mentoring Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs). Our workshops encourage SMMEs to incorporate drone technology and robotics into their business to remain sustainable.

Assessments & Advisory

We accompany local organisations, communities and governments in learning how drones can provide them new methods of assessing impact and monitoring activities.
