About the Network
The Flying Labs Network brings together locally-led and demand-driven knowledge hubs that catalyze positive impact of drones, data and AI for social good applications in their countries. The network is currently present in 40+ countries in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia-Pacific.
Why We Come Together
Drones, data and AI for all...
Drones allow just about anyone to create their own geospatial and aerial data and to leapfrog innovation for agriculture and health supply chains on a grassroots level. What makes drones unique: they allow to involve local stakeholders and communities, and take them along the journey. This allows to build both data trust and capacity.
We, the local experts, have the ability, agency and deep local knowledge to integrate these technologies and innovations in a sustainable and fitting manner in our countries. And to contribute with local solutions to the pressing challenges affecting our communities.

On a local level: we implement use cases, strengthen capacity, promote and advocate for local drone, data and AI expertise and leadership to accelerate local solutions for climate action, disaster, agriculture, STEM/Youth, health, entrepreneurship and more.
On a global level: we share best practices and lessons learned across the globe and collaborate on joint trainings and projects. We grow stronger together, inspired by the wise proverb “Alone we go fast, together we go far”.
