We leverage drone technology and geospatial data to solve local challenges, build local capacity, and empower Mauritanian communities.

We believe that emerging technologies create the greatest impact when they are accessible, locally understood, and applied to real-world challenges. Mauritania Flying Labs works to bridge the gap between technology and communities by building skills, fostering collaboration, and enabling locally led solutions.

Our goal is to promote the responsible use of drones, geospatial technologies, and AI to address local development challenges. Through training, partnerships, research, and community-centered projects, we strengthen local capacity and advance data-driven solutions. Our work supports environmental management, disaster resilience, infrastructure, public services and natural resource management.

Services

We provide drone training and capacity-building programs for youth, community leaders, civil society organizations, and institutions. Our technical services include aerial mapping, GIS and geospatial services, data collection and analysis, and technical advisory support.

In partnership with civil society organizations, schools, universities, and local stakeholders, we promote the responsible use of drone technology and geospatial solutions to support informed decision-making in Mauritania.

Local Capacity Building

We train students, professionals, and organizations in drone operations, mapping, GIS, and digital technologies to strengthen local expertise.

Knowledge Exchange

We facilitate knowledge sharing through workshops, events, research, and partnerships, connecting local stakeholders with global innovations and best practices.

Sector Applications & Projects

We design and implement drone, geospatial, and data-driven projects that address challenges across key sectors, including environmental management, natural resource management, infrastructure, public services, humanitarian action, and disaster preparedness.

Ecosystem Building & Facilitation

We connect educational and government institutions, civil society organizations, and private sector actors to foster collaboration, research, and responsible adoption of drone technology in Mauritania.

Advocacy & Policy Support

We support awareness, responsible drone use, and policy dialogue by engaging local actors to enable the safe, ethical, and effective use of drone and geospatial technologies.

Youth/STEM Programs

We engage Mauritanian youth through STEM education, hands-on drone training, and innovation programs that build technical skills, creativity, and pathways to future opportunities in emerging technologies.

Entrepreneurship Programs

We support young innovators and entrepreneurs by helping them turn ideas into drone-enabled solutions and viable services that address local challenges.

Assessments & Advisory
