To demonstrate the value of implementing drone technology in identifying areas at risk of disaster, preventing it where possible, and alleviating its impact when it strikes, South Africa Flying Labs embarked on a project to map an informal settlement that is prone to fire and flood-related disasters, focusing on mitigation and preparedness.
