We develop the Zimbabwean drone ecosystem, build local capacity and create opportunities for social good activities.

Zimbabwe Flying Labs is a fully integrated technology hub that facilitates the exchange of knowledge, networking, and skills development in the field of drones and robotics.

We provide basic RPL training and offer a variety of advanced drone training to professionals at all levels. Our work also covers crop spraying, large-scale mapping, data processing & analysis, industry-specific drone training, and youth programs.

Services

We provide drone pilot training as well as industry-specific drone & data application training, including data acquisition & processing from drone surveys. We also carry out projects in agriculture, climate action, disaster risk reduction, conservation, land management & public health. Our services include large-scale mapping, crop spraying, seeder and cargo delivery.

Local Capacity Building

Our CAAZ-approved training school supports the development of skilled drone professionals and strengthens the drone ecosystem in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa. We give a specific focus to expand knowledge and career prospects to young women and girls in the aviation field.

Knowledge Exchange

We organize drone demos and learning events aimed at introducing a wide range of stakeholders to the value and improvement of work efficiency and productivity drones can bring to their work.

Ecosystem Building & Facilitation

We implement tailored projects in disaster risk reduction, improve health services by field-testing and implementing appropriate cargo drone solutions, and support the global environmental effort through sustainable agriculture, nature conservation, and climate resilience projects.

Sector Applications & Projects

We organize international drone conferences in Zimbabwe, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders and creating an ecosystem and platform to learn and connect with leading drone experts in East and Southern Africa.

Advocacy & Policy Support

We support the safe deployment and operations of civil drones in Zimbabwe by facilitating and participating in discussions and workshops with the local Civil Aviation Authorities to contribute to and help expand SI 271 of 2018 Remotely Piloted Aircraft Regulations of 2018.

Youth/STEM Programs

We are igniting a passion for technology innovation and leadership in young learners through Drone Holiday Camps, Drone Clubs, Drone Career Workshops, and Drone Racing / Soccer Events. In the last 18 months, over 1000 young learners have gone through our STEM education program.
