About

We are a Panamanian robotic innovation hub that catalyzes social good with equity and inclusion.

Robotic technologies such as flying drones and surface-water drones allow us to address a wide variety of social challenges our country is facing. For example, data acquired by drones can be used to monitor the rising sea levels of our coastline and islands, provide missing data for better decision-making in infrastructure, agriculture, and conservation initiatives, support urban planning and health measures, and much more.

Our main goal is to build local drone, data, robotics, and AI expertise in Panama so that local stakeholders and communities can more efficiently and impactfully use these emerging technologies for their own needs.

Services

We train local and regional actors in using robotics ethically and responsibly, promote entrepreneurship, and bring together different stakeholders to create a community for robotics in social good, locally in Panama and regionally in Central America.

We focus on the following main activities:

Local Capacity Building

We offer hands-on training and project support for drone piloting, drone data acquisition and drone data analysis both to individuals and local organizations and government entities.

Knowledge Exchange

We organize webinars, seminars, workshops and conferences to share knowledge on applications, new developments and use cases for robotics technologies and their impact.

Ecosystem Building & Facilitation

We implement pilot and research projects with local partners across key social good sectors including conservation, health, agriculture, disaster/ humanitarian aid and development.

Sector Applications & Projects

We bring together the various stakeholders to create and facilitate Panama’s drone ecosystem and build together a sustainable and safe drone environment for our country.

Advocacy & Policy Support

We support key advocacy and policy actors with best practices on safe use of drones adapted to the local environment, drawing on our expertise and the international knowledge of all Flying Labs of our network.

Youth/STEM Programs

We develop youth engagement curricula and implement tailor made programs based on local experiences and knowledge to raise STEM awareness and contribute to gender balance.

Entrepreneurship Programs

We implement “Drones as a Service” entrepreneurship programs to grow and promote a vibrant and sustainable drone ecosystem.

Assessments & Advisory

We accompany local organizations, communities and governments in learning how drones can provide them with new methods of assessing impact and monitoring activities.
