Nigeria Flying Labs South West Hub will conduct a drone certification and digital entrepreneurship program for youths and professionals in Ondo State. This program is a continuation of Nigeria Flying Labs' programs in mentoring youth in digital entrepreneurship and building the skillsets necessary to advance their socio-economic development.
Participants will benefit from internship opportunities with the Ondo State Office of Innovation and Partnerships and Nigeria Flying Labs Southwest Hub. These opportunities would give interns first-hand experience with real-life scenarios using robotics for social good through practical applications of drone piloting and drone data analysis, either with Nigeria Flying Labs South West Hub or one of its partners. The training would also include modules in data science and artificial intelligence.
One hundred youths have already received training in smart farming—which includes the use of drones in agriculture—through a partnership between the Ondo State Agribusiness Empowerment Center (OSAEC) and Nigeria Flying Labs.
We will provide an update on this project as it progresses. Subscribe to the WeRobotics blog for more information as it happens.
