El Tercer Tast Tech de Drones a Figueres

En el municipio de Figueres se disfrutó el 14 y 16 de julio del tercer taller de drones gratuito y educativo. Unos 95 niños y jóvenes del Centro Amistia y CC de Ham/Anicet del municipio hicieron volar estas pequeñas aeronaves no tripuladas por el recinto del espacio abierto y además tuvieron una sesión informativa de que son los drones y como es su legislación, también tuvieron la ocasión de montar su propio dron, en una sesión organizada por el Ayuntamiento de Figueres y el Servicio de Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Figueres, y dinamizada por la entidad tecnoética Educaires y Spain Flying Lab.

Durante más de cinco horas cada día, los jóvenes participantes aprendieron qué es un dron, qué usos tienen actualmente, como se utiliza y qué partes tiene. También se contaron anécdotas sobre la tecnología -la de un dron es la misma que permitió que el hombre llegara a la luna en 1969- y se exploró la frustración de las niñas en materia TIC. 

El taller de Educaires en Figueres ha permitido que más de 20 drones estén a disposición de los niños, en su mayoría niñas y chicas.

"Facilitamos el acceso de niños y niñas a las nuevas tecnologías explica Julia Nikitina, responsable pedagógico de Educaires- con especial énfasis en las niñas, que a menudo abandonan el interés en esta materia. ¿Cómo puede ser? Creemos que trabajar la frustración con ellas, gestionándose la y aplicando autoconocimiento analítico, facilita que no pierdan el interés en un ámbito, el tecnológico, en el que realmente tienen buenas aptitudes."

Es por este motivo que la sesión ha contado con un taller de montaje de drones, en el que las niñas han podido conocer la mecánica del montaje de estas aeronaves y han podido resolver pequeñas problemáticas tecnológicas de manera satisfactoria. "Llegada una edad, las niñas a menudo dicen 'no valgo!' y abandonan su interés por la tecnología -denuncia Julia- y en este taller aprenden a gestionar estos momentos críticos de manera positiva."

In the municipality of Figueres, the third free and educational drone workshop was held on July 14 and 16. About 95 children and young people from the Centre Amistia and CC de Ham/Anicet municipality flew these small drones through the open space enclosure. Also, they had an information session about what drones are and how it is their legislation. They also had the opportunity to assemble their own drone in a session organized by the Figueres City Council and the Youth Service of the Figueres City Council and energized by the techno-ethical entity Educaires and Spain Flying Lab.

For more than five hours each day, the young participants learned what a drone is, what uses it has now, how it is used, and what parts it has. They also told anecdotes about technology and explored girls' frustration with ICT.

The Educaires workshop in Figueres has made more than 20 drones available to children, mostly girls.

"We facilitate the access of boys and girls to new technologies," explained Julia Nikitina, Educaires pedagogical manager, "with a particular emphasis on girls, who often abandon their interest in this subject. How can this be? We believe that working with them, managing their frustration and applying analytical self-knowledge, makes it easier for them not to lose interest in a field, the technological one, in which they have good skills".

For this reason, the session included a drone assembly workshop. The girls were able to learn the mechanics of these aircraft's assembly and solve small technological problems satisfactorily. At an age, girls often say 'I'm not worth it' and give up their interest in technology, said Julia, and in this workshop, they learn to manage these critical moments positively.
