Alexandre Falcão

Alexandre Falcão is a professor at the Institute of Computing (IC), University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with a B.Sc. (UFPE, 1984-1988), M.Sc. (UNICAMP, 1990-1993), and Ph.D. (UNICAMP, 1993-1996) in Electrical Engineering. He is an IEEE Senior member, holds a CNP research productivity fellowship at level 1A, and currently serves as Associate Editor at Pattern Recognition and Computer Science and Engineering Coordinator at FAPESP. He coordinates the Laboratory of Image Data Science at UNICAMP. His research aims at computational models to learn, detect, delineate, identify, and interpret the semantic content of medical, biological, remote sensing, and natural images.
