Making Room for Youth Innovators in Nigeria

Recently, Nigeria Flying Labs South West Hub partnered with Premier Innovation Hub in Akure to develop programs for promoting drone technology in human capital development, as part of our work to use robotics and data to catalyze transformative economic opportunities.

Premier Hub would provide space for Nigeria Flying Labs members to attend events and training programs, which will feature access to vital software tools like ArcGIS, Autodesk, Drone2Map, Pix4D Suite, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The partnership ensures that Nigeria Flying Labs and the Premier Hub can host at least one joint event every quarter that promotes robotics in the region, improving access to resources in drone and AI-related businesses. This bolsters Nigeria Flying Labs as a regional innovation center capable of building an enabling environment and empowering youth to leverage technology that brings their ideas into sustainable solutions.

Partnership and Sustainability Lead at Premier Hub Ajibola Olayemi said that the collaboration would help ensure that the area's youth are well-positioned for a tech-dominated future, competing favorably with their peers around the world in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The various tools and software available to them via this partnership will help to spur innovation in agriculture and industry in the region.

We believe with Ondo State's work with data science and artificial intelligence, our work in drones and robotics, and through partnerships with organizations like Premiere Hub, we will be well-positioned to become the primary center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Nigeria.
