The fair not only exhibited the latest in drone technology but also lit up the Santa Cruz sky with a spectacular drone show.
March 20th, 2025

On the weekend of August 17 and 18, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Chané room at Fexpocruz became the epicenter of innovation, where visitors and technology enthusiasts could immerse themselves in the fascinating world of drones.
One of the highlights was, without a doubt, the outdoor drone show held in Santa Cruz. A Colombian company, an expert in this type of spectacle, was in charge of orchestrating this aerial dance of lights and technology, which drew impressive figures in the night sky, causing admiration and amazement among spectators.

But ExpoDron 2024 did not limit itself to dazzling with its drone show. The fair also offered attendees the opportunity to learn up close the many advantages and applications of unmanned technology. Companies and industry experts exhibited their products and services, providing detailed information on how drones are revolutionizing various fields, from agriculture and construction to security and logistics.

ExpoDron 2024 also hosted an inspiring presentation on the power of drones to positively impact our communities. Mfon Udechukwu, Community and Program Coordinator of WeRobotics and the Flying Labs Network, and Mitzy Castillo, of Panama Flying Labs, shared the vision and work of Flying Labs, a global network of drone technology experts that collaborates with local organizations to develop projects that address social and environmental challenges in developing countries. The presentation highlighted how drones can be used to improve agriculture, monitor deforestation, provide disaster relief, and much more, demonstrating the potential of this technology to drive change and build a more sustainable future.

The event also had a positive social impact. In collaboration with the Fundación Trabajo Empresa, young people from the EmpoderaT project of the municipality of Buena Vista had the opportunity to participate in the fair and learn more about drone technology. This initiative seeks to empower new generations, giving them access to knowledge and tools that allow them to develop skills and make their way in the world of work.
