"The future is here, and it’s powered by innovation."

This sentiment came alive at the CHILD-IN-TECH Main AI Conference 2025, where Ghana Flying Labs introduced children to the exciting world of drones and artificial intelligence. Held at the St. Giles Event Center, East Airport, on January 24, 2025, the event brought together curious young minds eager to explore the future of technology.

Our goal? To spark curiosity and excitement in children about AI and drones by making learning fun and interactive. This aligns with CHILD-IN-TECH’s mission of helping kids build skills in technology from an early age.

Our exhibit featured AI-powered Object Detection with Drones. We used Python to teach drones how to recognize different objects in real time. In a fun and engaging demonstration, the children watched in amazement as our drones identified objects right before their eyes!

The event was designed to be hands-on, allowing our enthusiastic audience to ask questions and interact with the technology up close. Many were thrilled to see how drones ‘think’ and process information, making the technology feel less like science fiction and more like something they could learn and use.

One of the most exciting moments was when we asked them what they would use this technology for. Their ideas were inspiring: using drones to find lost pets, helping farmers grow better crops, and even creating games in which drones could spot hidden objects.

The energy and curiosity of the children showed us just how powerful hands-on learning can be. Instead of just reading about AI in books, they saw it in action, making it more relatable and exciting.

One key takeaway was the importance of making technology accessible and fun for children. When they see technology as something they can create and control, they feel empowered to explore and innovate.

Another lesson was how quickly kids grasp complex concepts when they are presented in an engaging way. By combining play with learning, we can help shape the next generation of tech innovators from an early age.

A huge thank you to CHILD-IN-TECH for organizing this fantastic event and to all the young participants who brought their energy and ideas. We’re excited to continue inspiring young minds and showing them that technology isn’t just for adults—it’s for everyone! Stay tuned for more fun learning experiences from Ghana Flying Labs.
