DR Flying Labs and the Drone Innovation Centre Partner with the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University

DR Flying Labs and the Drone Innovation Center have formed a strategic alliance with the National University Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) and the Santo Domingo Cyber Park (PCSD), signing a collaboration agreement to provide specialized courses in drone piloting.

With the support of the Air and Space Project Coordination Office (UNPHU-IDAC), which focuses on issues related to civil aviation and the aerospace industry, this initiative opens up significant opportunities for expansion. 

Through this agreement, we will offer various specialized drone piloting programs designed to meet the growing demand for training in remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), which will provide training opportunities and local capabilities in the aeronautical field.

These specialized programs provide great support for the development of the drone industry in the Dominican Republic, as amendments are being made to Civil Aviation Law 491-06, which includes new regulations and standards for the operation, certification, and registration of drones, applicable to both pilots and companies.

Present at the signing of the agreement were Miguel Fiallo Calderón, rector of UNPHU; Eddy Martínez Manzueta, executive president of the Santo Domingo Cyber Park (PCSD); Eugenio Pérez Montás, advisor ad vitam of UNPHU; Geisha Carpio, vice-rector of Postgraduate and Continuing Education; Soledad Pérez Gautier, coordinator of the PRAE Office; Pedro Ml. Cabrera Jr., aeronautical advisor at UNPHU; and Orlando Pérez Richiez, executive director of the Drone Innovation Center and coordinator of DR Flying Labs.

Focused on educational innovation and technological development in the Dominican Republic, our institutions, through this collaboration, are committed to offering high-level training, providing participants with the skills necessary to operate drones effectively and safely.

DR Flying Labs y el Centro de Innovación de Drones se asocian con la Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña

DR Flying Labs y el Centro de Innovación de Drones lograron alianza estratégica con la Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña y el Parque Cibernético de Santo Domingo (PCSD), los cuales firmaron un convenio de colaboración para impartir cursos especializados en pilotaje de drones.

Esta iniciativa cuenta con el apoyo de la Oficina Coordinadora de Proyectos del Aire y el Espacio (UNPHU-IDAC), la cual se enfoca en temas relacionados con la aviación civil e industria aeroespacial, lo que abre importantes oportunidades de expansión. 

A través de este acuerdo se estarán impartiendo diferentes programas especializados de Pilotaje de Drones, diseñados para satisfacer la creciente demanda de capacitación en sistemas de aeronaves pilotadas a distancia (RPAS), lo cual brindará oportunidades de formación y capacidades locales en el ámbito aeronáutico.

Estos programas especializados brindan un gran apoyo al desarrollo de la industria de drones en la República Dominicana, ya que se están aplicando modificaciones a la Ley de Aviación Civil 491-06 que contempla nuevas regulaciones y normativas para la operación, certificación y registro de drones, que aplica a pilotos como para empresas.

Durante la firma del convenio estuvieron presentes el Arq. Miguel Fiallo Calderón, rector de la UNPHU; el Lcdo. Eddy Martínez Manzueta, presidente ejecutivo del Parque Cibernético de Santo Domingo (PCSD), el Arq. Eugenio Pérez Montás, asesor Ad Vitam de la UNPHU; Lcda. Geisha Carpio, vicerrectora de Postgrado y Educación Continuada; Ing. C.P Soledad Pérez Gautier, coordinadora de la Oficina PRAE; Lic. Pedro Ml. Cabrera Jr., asesor aeronáutico de la UNPHU; y el Ing. Orlando Pérez Richiez, director ejecutivo del Centro de Innovación de Drones y Coordinador de DR Flying Labs.

A través de esta positiva alianza las instituciones se comprometen a ofrecer una formación de alto nivel, proporcionando a los participantes las habilidades necesarias para operar drones de manera efectiva y segura. Este esfuerzo conjunto subraya el compromiso de las instituciones con la innovación educativa y el desarrollo tecnológico en la República Dominicana.
