José Simmonds

José Simmonds is an Electrical Engineering student at the Technological University of Panama with a multidisciplinary background in software development, data analytics, robotics, automation, and STEM education. He is passionate about leveraging engineering, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to solve real-world challenges and drive innovation through data-driven solutions.

Throughout his professional journey, José has served as a Python Programming Instructor at the University of Panama, where he taught programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and introductory data analysis using Python, Pandas, and NumPy. He also completed a research internship with the Central American Caribbean Bridge in Astrophysics, applying computational tools and data analysis techniques to investigate the dynamic stability of binary star systems. These experiences strengthened his analytical thinking, technical communication, and problem-solving skills.

As the founder of SimsTech, José provides consulting services in data analytics, automation, software development, electronics, and engineering solutions. He is also an active member of Flying Labs Panama (COBOTS Labs), where he mentors high school students in robotics, embedded systems, electronics, and programming using technologies such as Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and drones. In addition, he has contributed to national technology initiatives by providing technical support for SENACYT's Robotic Virtual Fest and actively participates in educational and leadership organizations that promote STEAM education and youth development in Panama.

José's professional interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, automation, energy systems, smart technologies, and product development. His long-term vision is to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, build technology-driven companies, and develop innovative solutions that contribute to the digital transformation of industries across Panama and Latin America.
