Dr. Hamid Jabbar

Dr. Hamid Jabbar is a lead academic with a focus on mechatronics system design, low-power energy harvesting, and piezoelectric material applications. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Hanyang University in South Korea in February 2017.
He is currently the Head of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering and an Associate Professor at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. His responsibilities include teaching, research, and department administration. Prior to his current role, he was a Research Assistant Professor at Hanyang University from March 2017 to August 2018, where he focused on piezoelectric material applications, power converters, and energy harvesting. He also has over 10 years of experience at the National Development Complex in Islamabad, where he worked on mechatronics systems for aerospace vehicles and circuit design.
Dr. Jabbar has a strong research background with 33 SCI journal publications, 10 conference presentations, 9 patents, and 1 book chapter. He is the founder, director, and CEO of MatEnTx Pvt Ltd, a company that specializes in piezoelectric ceramic materials and micro/nano devices. He has also secured several research grants, including "Indigenous approach for development of Piezoelectric Devices" from the National Center of Robotics and Automation (NCRA).
