Last February, Morocco Flying Labs member Mohammed Aissi presented an online event titled "Drones, The Future of Technology" to students in the Aéro Club ENSA BERRECHID club at ENSA Berrechid Morocco.

The online event was created to bring students from diverse backgrounds from many universities closer to drone technology and to explore the following questions and topics:

  • What is a drone, and what types are available?
  • For what are each used?
  • Where can they be used, and how do they work?
  • How are they operated safely and in compliance with industry standards and local laws?

We also discussed different uses and applications with several examples, including how drones help people and boost productivity:

We also discussed how to safely operate a drone while complying with applicable laws and industry standards. The students were delighted by the shared knowledge, and many of them started working on related projects. However, drones are largely prohibited in Morocco and need special authorizations. STEM students can receive that special authorization when under proper university supervision. These students are excited to explore their potential and tackle its difficulties, respecting the laws and conditions.

We look forward to reproducing this training for other universities and institutions.
