Our Core Focus

Our mission is clear – to promote the use of drones for creative problem-solving. With an emphasis on ensuring equal access to drone technology, we aim to harness the power of collaboration on a local and national scale to become a catalyst for positive change in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Flying Labs is set to launch its initiatives with a hands-on approach. By engaging in training projects with local communities, our goal is to establish a robust network of volunteers across various regions of the country. This grassroots effort will not only impart valuable skills but also foster a sense of community. Additionally, we will actively seek partnerships with both national and international institutions, inviting them to join our cause to empower young people to harness the potential of technology.

As our community takes shape, we will shift our focus towards forging strategic alliances, which will be crucial in bolstering our capabilities and expanding our reach to address nationwide challenges through innovative drone solutions. We will assist government and private organizations in leveraging drone capabilities, thus ushering in enhanced productivity, innovation, and sustainable growth across diverse sectors.

Harnessing Expertise in Agriculture

Green Xpo Lab brings a unique advantage with its experience with coffee and pineapple data. This wealth of information equips us with expertise in crop monitoring and disease detection. Currently in the developmental stage, the team is actively working on AI algorithms capable of counting coffee plants at any age, with expectations for the comprehensive AI tool to be ready by July 2024.

As we embark on this journey, Costa Rica Flying Labs is eager for the impactful work ahead. We look forward to collaborating with local communities and reaching beyond borders to engage with other Flying Labs worldwide, sharing insights, experiences, and collectively pushing the boundaries of innovation.
