At the New Horizons School Tech Fest in Santo Domingo on 12th April 2024, Dominican Republic Flying Labs had the exciting opportunity to engage with students about the rapidly growing drone industry. Through an interactive and informative workshop, students were introduced to various aspects of drone technology, including operation, safety, regulations, current uses, and the vast potential for future applications.

The workshop sparked significant interest and motivation among the students, allowing them to explore the fascinating world of drones firsthand. They had the chance to see a variety of drone models and witness live demonstrations. This immersive approach not only captivated their attention and provided valuable hands-on experience but also inspired many to consider pursuing STEM careers.

DR Flying Labs is dedicated to encouraging young students to embrace drone technology and STEM education. Drones represent one of the most exciting and opportunity-rich tools today, and integrating drone education into school curricula goes a long way in closing the gap between education and the ever-evolving drone industry. Our collaboration aimed to promote drone technology and STEM careers, highlighting the significant impact this field can have on future generations.

Durante el Tech Fest en el Colegio New Horizons en Santo Domingo, DR Flying Labs tuvo la gran oportunidad de conversar con estudiantes sobre la industria de los drones, a través de un taller muy interesante e interactivo donde los estudiantes pudieron aprender sobre el funcionamiento, seguridad, regulaciones, usos y el potencial futuro de la tecnología de drones.

Los estudiantes estaban muy motivados al explorar el mundo de los drones y tuvieron la oportunidad de ver diferentes modelos de drones y demostraciones de su funcionamiento, lo que les brindó experiencia práctica y les generó interés para estudiar carreras STEM en el futuro.

DR Flying Labs está muy enfocado en involucrar a los jóvenes estudiantes en la tecnología de drones y STEM para brindarles las herramientas que necesitan para definir su futuro profesional. 

Las tecnologías de drones son definitivamente uno de los campos más interesantes que ofrece muchas oportunidades para los estudiantes y jóvenes profesionales. Es muy importante introducir la educación sobre drones en los planes de estudios para cerrar la brecha entre la educación y la industria de los drones, brindando a los jóvenes estudiantes conocimientos y habilidades que los capacitarán para alcanzar nuevas oportunidades en el mercado laboral que va en continua evolución.

New Horizons Tech Fest reunió a destacados profesionales del sector tecnológico para compartir conocimientos, experiencias y tendencias relevantes de la industria, para brindar a los estudiantes entusiastas de la tecnología un espacio único para aprender, compartir conocimientos y demostrar sus habilidades a través de competencias interuniversitarias. El evento también brindó la oportunidad de mostrar diferentes modelos y tecnologías de drones a través de un stand promocional.
