Taichi Furuhashi

Taichi Furuhashi is passionate about mapping, connecting local communities with maps and sharing knowledge to empower people. Since the 2011 earthquake and tsunamis destroyed entire local communities in East Japan, Taichi's team has been working to build a resilient society with mapping, panorama/VR and UAV technology. He is Professor at Aoyama Gakuin University, President of CrisisMappers Japan and founder at DRONEBIRD, a drone-based project that uses drones for better disaster crisis response.
