Shikha Thapa Magar

Shikha is a researcher with a Ph.D. in agronomy from Hebei Agricultural University. Her research direction is a Sustainable intensive farming system. She has worked as a trainer in environmental and humanitarian organizations: ECCA and INHURED. She has shown great responsibility in the collaboration of Nepalese private institutes (HICAST, ICIMOD, KU), public institute (AFU, NARC), and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development with the Chinese University as project coordinator.
Shikha has been a part of different international research forums such as the 7th Crop Science Congress and has also represented Nepal in international forums such as Model Silk and Road Youth Initiative Program. She has been engaged in the global networking of young professionals/leaders of 18 different countries of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation organization) as the founding curator of the SCOLAR Kathmandu Hub. She has also organized MSCO (Model-Shanghai Cooperation Organization) participated by young leaders of 12 SCO regions in the presence of the General Secretary of SCO secretariat.
She has spent a few months teaching for the secondary level students at Olympia world Higher Secondary School and as a visiting doctorate at The British School to sensitize high school graduates. Shikha brings experience as a researcher, trainer, teacher, and leader, she will contribute to research & development as well as help in collaboration with related national and international partners.
