Munir Hasan

Munir Hasan is the Head of Youth Program and Events at “Prothom Alo”, the leading newspaper in Bangladesh. He received his B.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Conducted 100’s of training sessions, seminars, and workshops on technology, entrepreneurship, social media marketing, and technology for the betterment of business, etc., organized by international organizations like UNDP and World Bank, National entities like Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of ICT, as well as different NGOs/CSOs. He is a co-author of the ICT Text book for grades VI-IX by NCTB.

Munir Represented Bangladesh in different International Forums, such as the WSIS Forum, the International Mathematical Olympiad, and COMSTEC. An international team of researchers recognized his excellent organizational capabilities as one of the world's most successful organizers in a textbook published by Cambridge University Press (2011). He authored the country report in the Global Information Society Watch Report 2009, 2010, and 2013. He has been an Ashoka Fellow since 2008.
