Mishal Islam

Coordinator and Operations

Mishal Islam is IoT Coordinator of British Council Bangladesh. He has completed B.Sc. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Ahsanullah University and obtained M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Dhaka. Currently he is working in British Council with collaboration of Ministry of Cultural affairs & Department of Public Libraries to introduce innovative & digital services in public libraries of Bangladesh. Mishal and his team at British council has introduced computer programming & robotics in the public libraries to reach rural & urban students, by giving them opportunity to learn different types of programming & hands on robot development. Previously Mishal worked as ICT Coordinator in Bangladesh Open Source Network & conducted Robotics & IoT hands on workshops all over Bangladesh.In 2017, Mishal along with Maherul & their team won an Innovation Award in “Digital World-2017" a nationwide mega ICT event with the slogan “Ready for Tomorrow”. Mishal is also working to develop & enrich resources and contents about Programming, robotics & IoT in Bengali language. Before joining BdOSN he also worked at the IoT team of Computer Services Ltd. He is also a mentor of Bangladesh Robot Olympiad, actively mentoring national and international Robot Olympiad participants since 2019.
