Kenneth VS Koker is a technically skilled professional with years of experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing, Environmental Monitoring, Mineral Processing, Management Information Systems (MIS), Research and Monitoring and Evaluation. He has provided technical expertise in designing and developing climate monitoring and early warning systems to support and enhance the technical and technology capacities of the relevant mandated institutions in Sierra Leone (CIDMEWS). In 2017, he contributed to the mapping of hazard-prone areas based on historic disaster/hazard events by identifying and assessing the exposure, vulnerability and risk of people, property, critical facilities, infrastructure and economic activities to those disaster/hazards prone areas; creating national multi-hazard profiles in terms of disaster risks, hazards, vulnerability and exposure; and developing and deploying a comprehensive and up-to-date GIS Web-based mapping application and database of a national risk profile of Sierra Leone (HARPIS-SL). Kenneth is a Senior Consultant at INTEGEMS, providing technical expertise in Environmental Management and Information Management Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Saint Petersburg Mining University, Russian Federation.
