Joël Kameni Toussom
Air Traffic Controller
Joël Kameni Toussom, PMP has been an Air Traffic Controller at Douala airport since 2013. Trained in ATM safety investigation and analysis, he is passionate about unmanned aircraft systems and safe integration with manned aviation. In 2020, driven by this passion, he completed the ICAO training on unmanned aviation. He also holds a master's degree in Air transport with a thesis written on ‘The contribution of UAS(drones) to aviation sustainability in Africa’. He strongly believes in the capacity of drones to accelerate the sustainable development of the African continent and had contributed to various projects so far.
Joël is also a founding member of (SAYF) the Sustainable Aviation Youth Foundation and served as the Vice President of CATCA, the national ATC association.
