Dr. Sejuti Rahman
Technical Specialist and Research Coordinator
Dr. Sejuti Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia, in 2014. She received the M.Sc. degree in Computer science from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2010 and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka in 2006. From 2014 to 2015, she had been a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. From 2015 to 2016, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, North South University in Bangladesh. From 2016 to 2017, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Autonomous Systems, University of Technology Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia.
Her research interests include Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics. She has more than 20 publications in prestigious journals and peer-reviewed conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging, Cognitive Computation, and Computer Vision and Image Understanding. She has been a reviewer and technical committee member of several mainstream computer vision and pattern recognition conferences. In 2012, she was awarded the FB Rice Prize for the Best Patent Activity as a Member of the Spectral Imaging Group at National ICT Australia (NICTA), Australia. In 2020, she received the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Dean’s Award (Gold Medal) of the University of Dhaka in recognition of her contribution to research.
