Biplav is a technical researcher, procurement expert, social activist, writer and environmentalist. He has intensive experience of working as a research engineer in the R&D Centre of the electric vehicle where he completed a full product-cycle of designing and manufacturing an electric two-wheeler with experience in additive and composites manufacturing, liaison with overseas manufacturing partners and handling shipment of the UN dangerous goods (UN3480 & UN3481) 38.3 lithium polymer batteries. He has worked as a mechanical engineer in Nepal Airline’s Hangar at the Tribhuvan International Airport where he got involved in different aspects of aircraft engineering including national and international flight regulations, continuous airworthiness management, and aircraft maintenance programs. He also holds a Remote Pilot License (RePl), approved by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority and has been contributing to different Drones for social good projects in Nepal.
Biplav has been providing the community by volunteering and leading different not-for-profit organizations. He is the charter director of Rotaract Club of Patan-South RID-3292 Nepal-Bhutan with which he has conducted different charity events, community service projects, and aided building of a community school. He is also leading and bridging young professionals of 18 different countries of the SCO region as founding Vice-Curator of the SCOLAR Kathmandu Hub, a Nepalese chapter of the SCOLAR Network, a youth platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) aimed at bringing together young leaders from 18 different SCO countries to strengthen connectivity, promote dialogue and contribute to regional development.
